Welcome to Freemasonry in Yatton

Freemasonry in the Yatton area can be traced back to 1867, when The Lodge of Agriculture was formed, originally meeting in the Ship and Castle Public House in nearby Congresbury.

The hall accommodates six Craft Lodges, one Mark Lodge and one Holy Royal Arch Chapter, (the histories of which can be seen on the individual Lodge pages within the website)

Yatton Freemasons operate within the Province of Somerset and a visit to their website is recommended for a fuller and more in-depth explanation as to what Freemasonry is about and stands for.

During the 1930s the Lodge started to look for quarters of their own. Larchmount Hall, an impressive buiding in the centre of Yatton, which had originally been a pri vate school was destroyed by fire; the Lodge of Agriculture being quick to seize an opportunity bought the burnt out shell, which was to become its third, and to date final home.
